2026 Comedy Show Raises Over $65,000 for Scholarship Program

On April 30th, 2026, the Yay!DAY 2026 Comedy Show, presented by the Comedy Zone, was held at the Cain Center for the Arts. This event raised over $65,000 to go towards our P.E.E.R.S Scholarship Program. Funds came from ticket sales, donations made throughout the evening, our silent auction, and Yay!DAY sponsors.

The doors opened at 6 pm, and guests were enjoyed complimentary appetizers provided by Bouk Catering while they further supported Yay!DAY through our silent auction!

The show officially kicked off at 7:30 pm with a hilarious opening act by Charlotte’s very own Jason Allen King and was followed by an hour of wonderful comedy by the winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, John Heffron!
