““I discovered this scholarship opportunity through Sources of Strength. I feel that radiating positivity is important because it is so easy to get bogged down in what you don’t have, but it’s so much better to live your life being grateful for what you do have.”

““I heard about the scholarship from the newsletters that would go out through my school and I feel that the motto of ‘radiating positivity’ is so important for students to learn because everyone has their own battles that they are fighting each day and the least someone can do is be kind. I have learned the importance through my involvement in sports and clubs, more specifically in the club Sources of Strength. We worked every day to grow as a peer leader and as a voice for others to feel heard around the school creating and fostering community. “”
““I heard about YayDay through my school. My counselor sent out scholarship opportunities and I applied for it! I am very involved in my high school and community, and I love being involved in a variety of ways including athletics, honor societies, and volunteer organizations. I love to be active and help the people around me and in my community. Radiating positivity is a task we all should complete. People might not remember what you said to them, but they always will remember how you made them feel.””
““I heard about the scholarship opportunity through my high school’s Yay!DAY chapter. I had the opportunity to be involved in Yay!DAY senior year, and then applied for the scholarship. Many students come from very difficult home lives or have various conditions that make it hard to focus or be interested in their classes. I find that “radiating positivity” restimulates that spark, that love, for learning, which will ultimately result in endless opportunities for students to contribute to the betterment of their communities.””
